Whilst the previous post was based on the subject of Holborn Assets operating illegally, it’s probably a fitting time to discuss GDPR breaches and how Holborn management spam prospects with the promises of “12% guaranteed returns” etc. These emails are sent despite contacts not giving any consent for Holborn Assets to hold their personal information on file and to be used for marketing purposes. The personal data they hold is being used to lure clients into high risk investments and to move UK pensions amongst other questionable financial products.
As you can see below, someone else at Holborn, also claiming to be CEO, has been spamming my email account with such communications.
I am an ex-employee of Holborn Assets. At no point have I consented to them contacting me regarding the financial products they offload on to unsuspecting investors. Other than a lawsuit, I have no business with Holborn. I have no accounts with them and I have had no communication by this salesman claiming to be the CEO. I have been spammed no less than 5 times in approx. 5 weeks, on 4th, 6th & 10th March and 6th & 17th April, with emails similar to the following;

As per the GDPR.eu website – “When you’re allowed to process data
Article 6 lists the instances in which it’s legal to process person data. Don’t even think about touching somebody’s personal data — don’t collect it, don’t store it, don’t sell it to advertisers — unless you can justify it with one of the following:
- The data subject gave you specific, unambiguous consent to process the data. (e.g. They’ve opted in to your marketing email list.)”
This may seem a trivial post, but it further demonstrates that Holborn Assets has zero regard for any laws they’re supposed to operate within. The company is ran with an arrogance to think it is bigger than any Licencing, Employment laws or Data Protection laws.
And whilst the barrage of unsolicited cold calling or unsolicited emails, formerly undertaken by TRS in Bournemouth may not be enough to land Holborn in hot water with the regulators, the incidents surrounding the closure of the Sri Lanka office and the dismissal of the Managing Director there most certainly will be!
A major breach just brushed under the carpet…. More to follow.
